I had the fortunate opportunity to come to Terrace for a four month winter job (ACMG Backcountry Ski Guide, Avalanche Course Instructor) eleven years ago. I stayed in Terrace because this place literally has a magic mix of community and opportunities both recreationally and professionally.

I can get off work by 5:00 p.m. and be on the river by 5:30 p.m. to catch sockeye by 6:00 p.m. If you enjoy the outdoors, fishing, hunting, backpacking, skiing, mountain biking, kite surfing, as I do, you will love living in Terrace. You can be on the ocean one minute and in the mountains shortly after.  Its just a nice place to be. I love Terrace because it has it all. I love Terrace because it is still gritty and the people are real. They are not here because it's cool. People are here because they want to live here. 

I belong to Mount Remo Backcountry Society. The society promotes backcountry recreation in the area.

I would highly recommend Terrace to anyone. Its just that simple!
