I moved to Terrace when I was a youngster as my family was transferred here for work. After graduating high school I lived in different areas of the province working in various jobs, but eventually found my way back to Terrace. I chose to return to Terrace simply because I love the abundant choice of amenities for myself and for my young family. The outdoor recreational opportunities have something to offer every age group, at a world-class level, and without the numbers in bigger centres.

The mild climate in Terrace gives one the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors year round!

During the warmer months of spring, summer and fall I am able to enjoy such hobbies as mountain biking, hiking, canoeing and kayaking to name a few. During the summer I am able to kite-board given the reliable wind on the Skeena River, which makes the sport world-class. During the winter, you will find me enjoying my weekends at our 'secret jewel of the north' My Mountain Co-op (via Shames Mountain Ski Area), spending outdoor time with my family, and sneaking in some winter kite-skiing on our frozen lakes near by.

Terrace is a place that allows you to escape the hustle bustle of larger centres by spending time enjoying the vast forest trails, lakes, rivers, mountains, and world class fishing (if that's your passion) right out your front door.

A few years back I realized my dream of working for myself and owning my own electrical company. The opportunity became real when I started Hartman Electric Ltd. I have never looked back.

My family and my business remains my focus as we continue to enjoy this wonderful place we call home. We have never felt the need to leave.
